Awarded the “Golden kuna”, the most prized economic awards of the Republic of Croatia

The National and University Library in Zagreb was the center of the Croatian business elite. The best Croatian companies awarded the Croatian Chamber of Commerce “Golden kuna”, the most prized prizes in Croatia. Along with the leaders of the leading companies, the entire state leadership gathered at the ceremony.

The Golden kuna was awarded by the large Maistra commercial company, Rovinj’s leading tourist company, which makes 6% of the overnight stays in Croatia with the invested 3 billion kuna investment.

In the category for the medium company, the statue was taken by the company for 5 minutes (Zagreb) and for the small Bruketa and Žinić and Gray from Zagreb.

Particularly prestigious recognition for the promotion of a business venture that has helped entrepreneurship popularization went to the hands of Mate Rimac (Rimac Automobili iz Sveti Nedjelje).

The winners are: in the category of innovation company Altpro (Zagreb); Wiener Insurance Company Vienna Insurance Group from Zagreb; for life’s work, a respected entrepreneur Stjepan Saffron, among banks Privredna banka Zagreb.

In the new category Post startup The Golden Kuna was awarded to Axilis from Zagreb.

Education has to be our instrument to create a more efficient system, which will not shake any frustration. The Chamber has offered a dual vocational education model, which can change the available cadre. Therefore, we can say that the exam of our social and political maturity is just ahead of us, said HGK Luka Burilović.

The government will continue its activities with all measures that will help Croatian businessmen to establish their business in a stable and reliable legal framework and foreseeable fiscal framework, said Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, announcing that in the next period, he will continue to implement the national reform program he considers to be the best guaranteeing the demographic recovery of the country.

President Gordan Jandroković congratulated the winners and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce for everything they did for the economy. He recalled visits to the University of Canada linking the theory and practice and stressed that this is the model we need to adopt. Those students learn to be innovative, globally connected, and that’s all they care about and our winners. Let us not ask others to solve our problems, let us all by ourselves the one hundred percent best we know and will be better for both us and society and the state, said Jandroković.

I personally believe that export is a fundamental component that needs to be based on the development of the Croatian economy and that will create value added products and lead to economic growth and a higher standard of living. That is why the necessary triangle of state, academic and economic co-operation needed, said the President of the Republic of Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, thanking the businessmen who followed her in official visits all over the world.
