As a special segment of the celebration, twenty-two Diplomacy & Commerce Awards for 2026 were presented to individuals, companies, and institutions that have made outstanding contributions to Serbia’s economic, social, and humanitarian development.

The award winners were selected by a distinguished jury composed of Marko ČadežVladimir GakMilan AntonijevićVeselin JevrosimovićTijana Palkovljević BugarskiIgor ČerniševskiStevan RistićMilica PražićDanijela Popović-Jurić and Princess Ljubica Karađorđević.

Opening remarks were delivered by Robert Čoban, who presented the magazine’s platforms and regional reach, and Usame Zukorlić, in charge of reconciliation, regional cooperation, and social stability in the Government of Serbia.

On behalf of the Government, Zukorlić congratulated the anniversary and recalled that when the project was launched ten years ago, its mission was to connect diplomacy and business, as well as Serbia and the world. “Today, a decade later, we see that the project has become a strong pillar in understanding ideas, promoting best practices, and strengthening international relations,” he stated, emphasizing that there can be no long-term economic stability without social stability, nor successful business in the region without genuine reconciliation and open regional cooperation.

He added that the diplomatic corps and business community play a key role, as their investments and projects connect people across borders, while their commitment to sustainable development significantly supports local communities and overall social stability.

Addressing the audience, Milan Antonijević noted that the Diplomacy & Commerce awards remind us that the economy only has meaning when it is connected with values such as solidarity, sustainability, and openness. “We are not only celebrating projects and results, but people and institutions who understand that true success is not individual, but shared,” he said, congratulating the winners for pushing the boundaries of what we consider possible in society.

At the very beginning of the ceremony, the Diplomacy & Commerce Humanitarian Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Princess Katarina Karađorđević. She expressed her gratitude and emphasized that more than three decades of humanitarian work would not have been possible without the generosity and dedication of those who supported her efforts.

“Without the generosity and commitment of all those who have supported my vision, it would not have been possible to bring comfort, hope, and smiles, and to improve so many lives through our joint efforts. This award will serve as a lasting inspiration for all of us to continue our mission of helping those most in need, as there is no greater fulfillment than knowing you have made a meaningful and lasting difference in someone’s life.”

The award was presented to her by journalist and writer Duška Jovanić.
