South Africa abolishes visas for Croatian citizens for stays of up to 90 days

South Africa exempts Croatian citizens from the need to obtain visas for stays of up to 90 days, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs announced.

“This achievement is the result of strengthened cooperation and communication with the South African side, led by the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman, and activities at all levels within the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, including the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Pretoria,” the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs said.

The press release added that additional momentum was given to bilateral relations by the visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Africa, Alvin Botes, to Zagreb in December 2024, and political consultations.

“This decision provides our citizens and the business sector with easier access to a country with significant influence on the African continent and in the world, which this year presides over the G20 group,” the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs explained.
