From April 7 to 9, 2027, Ljubljana, Slovenia, will become an international meeting point for leading communication experts. At the 24th international PRO PR Conference—held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ljubljana under the theme “Leadership in Communication”—these professionals will exchange their experiences and knowledge within the communications industry. The conference will be opened by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, who will also address the participants and share her own experiences in the field of communication.

Three presidents of major communication associations have confirmed their attendance: Prof. Justin Green, President and CEO of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management; Dan Gerella, President-elect of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) for 2027; and Dr. Takashi Inoue, President of the Japanese Society for Public Relations and Director of the agency Inoue Public Relations. The program will also feature contributions from Nataša Pavlović Bujas, former President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and Souha Khairallah, a representative of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA). The conference is also supported by the Slovenian Public Relations Society (PRSS). With the arrival of communication leaders from global and national associations, the PRO PR conference reaffirms its global influence. Over the course of three days, participants will have the opportunity to hear from 35 speakers, including various panelists. The program will feature lectures, professional discussions, and two panel sessions—all centered around the theme of “Networking in Motion.”

The agency Apriori World has announced that the speaker lineup will include Anthony Pickles, Director of Communications at the British Museum; Robert Wester, Director of Communications and City Branding for the Municipality of The Hague (Netherlands); and Abdulrahman Inayat, co-founder and director of the agency W7Worldwide from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This year’s program also continues the development of the “PRO PR Talk” format, in which organizational leaders share their personal communication experiences and perspectives on the role of communications within management. A special segment of the program, titled “Gastro PR,” will bridge the communication profession with the world of gastronomy, showcasing the regional culinary scene. “Preparing the program is quite challenging, as many topics today are linked to artificial intelligence. Nevertheless, I decided to focus specifically on communication leaders—individuals backed by extensive experience, knowledge, and a strategic approach to managing communication processes. While the program is still being developed, its core framework has already been announced. I am confident that, as in previous years, participants will find content relevant to their professional development. I would like to highlight ‘PRO PR Talk,’ a format we introduced two years ago. Through this, we invite leaders, company directors, and heads of institutions to share their experiences and perspectives on communication processes. We will announce the names of the participants in these discussions at a later date. I always emphasize that the PRO PR conference is not a ‘spectacle.’ The focus is on ‘Networking in Motion’—connecting while on the move—which is especially pertinent now, in an era where communication is gaining greater prominence. In recent years, we have remained committed to the concept of ‘Leadership in Communication,’ carefully selecting speakers so that every participant can find something of value—whether it be insights they can apply in their own practice or exposure to practical, creative communication solutions. I am proud that we have stayed true to our focus on public relations. Today, artificial intelligence poses the greatest challenge to the communications industry. It is a topic discussed at every conference, and the public relations profession—much like many others—is grappling with this challenge, particularly because there are not yet clear legal regulations in place to protect individuals, their work, and their creativity.””I would like to extend a special thank you to the ‘Ljubljana Tourism’ team for recognizing the international significance of this conference and for supporting its hosting in the Slovenian capital, where we expect more than 250 participants from all over the world,” stated Danijel Koletić, founder and president of the PRO PR Conference Organizing Committee.

As part of the conference, the 15th annual awards ceremony for the international “PRO PR Globe People Achievement Awards” and the “World Best of the Best” awards will take place on April 8, 2027. These awards will be presented to distinguished individuals who, through their vision, work, and professional approach, have contributed to the development of the fields of public relations and communication management. A unique feature of this program is that no financial contribution is required for the awards or the nomination process. Past recipients, as well as four global associations, participate in the nomination process.
As in previous years, in addition to their awards, the recipients of the PRO PR Globe Awards will receive unique graphic artworks, created specifically for this occasion by students from the Academy of Applied Arts at the University of Rijeka.
