Croatia’s average net pay rises to €900 a month

The average net pay in Croatia in legal entities in June was HRK 6,774 (€900), which is a real increase of 1.7% on the month, and of 3.1% on the year, the national statistical office said on Thursday.

The average net pay for June 2020 rose in nominal terms by 1.8% compared with May, and by 2.9% compared with June last year.

The highest average monthly salary was earned in the extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas industry, HRK 13,684, while the lowest mean monthly salary was recorded in clothes manufacturing, HRK 4,401.

The median net wage for June amounted to HRK 5,751, which means that half the employed had a wage below that amount and the other half a wage above that amount.

The average hourly net pay in June was HRK 37.74, dropping by 2.5% compared with May and by 5.1% compared with June 2019.
