Marin Pucar is the new president of the Croatian Employers’ Association

The President of the Management Board of Podravka, Marin Pucar, has been elected the new President of the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP).


I am honored to take on the responsible role of the President of the Croatian Employers’ Association and I thank all the members for their trust. In my mandate, as I pointed out in the program, I will insist on the idea of ​​unity, collegiality and transparency in the work of HUP and actively work on the necessary transformation and modernization of the Association through new models of work and management, as well as stronger connections and interaction with partners in Croatia and the EU – said Marin Pucar when taking over the new duty.

Pucar, who has been the head of the Koprivnica food company since February 2017, was elected at today’s session of the Council of HUP members, which was attended by all 62 members. Apart from him, the candidacies for the president of HUP were also pointed out by the president of the Management Board of Pliva, Mihael Furjan, and Renato Radić, co-owner and president of the Management Board of Prima namještaj.

The president of HUP is elected by the Council of Members of HUP for a period of three years, and the same person can be elected president of the association no more than twice in a row. The president of HUP represents the association, leads and supervises the business, is responsible for the legality of its work, convenes sessions of the assembly and executive board of HUP and chairs them, and implements the decisions and conclusions of the association. In the past six years, ie in two terms, the president of HUP was Gordana Deranja, otherwise the president of the board of the Pula company Tehnomont d.d.
