Range Rover, the original luxury SUV, is now available with electric power, heralding a new era of enhanced refinement and capability. Built in Solihull, Range Rover’s home since 1970, this first electric Range Rover marks a major milestone for the brand.

Quieter, simpler, more responsive and more torquey than any Range Rover before it, the Range Rover Electric combines unparalleled design with exceptional refinement and stunning modernity. Electric power enhances Range Rover’s signature attributes of effortless performance, timeless luxury and uncompromising capability, while reducing cabin noise.
Seamlessly integrating electric power into a flexible architecture designed from the ground up, the Range Rover Electric features two 260kW permanent magnet electric motors that deliver up to 550PS and 850Nm of torque. Most Range Rover customers will be able to complete their normal daily journeys without needing to recharge, thanks to a range of up to 598 km (WLTP)1 and a real-world range of up to 535 km4.

New technologies enable precise control in all environments, including Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD), which distributes rear torque from 100 percent to zero percent to prevent loss of traction, and Integrated Traction Management (ITM), which monitors engine speed every 50 milliseconds and manages slippage up to 100 times faster than an equivalent internal combustion engine vehicle.
Integrated Traction Management works in harmony with the new single-pedal driving mode, giving owners exceptional control and the ability to effortlessly launch the vehicle on slopes of up to 33 degrees, as steep as the most demanding ski slope, or to master climbs and descents of up to 45 degrees.

When it comes to charging away from home, using the fastest public DC fast chargers available at 350kW, the Range Rover Electric can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in around 22 minutes, or add 220 km in 10 minutes (WLTP) when the vehicle is charged at the highest charging speed.
The first electric Range Rover is powered by a dual-layer lithium-ion battery pack with a usable capacity of 118.5 kWh, comprising 344 prismatic cells, delivering exceptional energy density. The advanced 800-volt architecture enables fast and flexible parallel charging.
The twin 260 kW permanent magnet electric motors deliver 20% more torque than other motors of the same size and feature silicon carbide semiconductors that enable extraordinary switching speeds measured in microseconds, striking a balance between efficiency and exceptional performance on all surfaces.
The Range Rover Electric accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, and its power enables acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h when overtaking in just 2.7 seconds5.

ALWAYS CONNECTED.
When away from their vehicle, customers can stay connected to their Range Rover Electric via the new Range Rover App. With a range of useful features at their fingertips, customers can activate the cabin air purification or turn on the heated steering wheel, check whether the vehicle is locked, its current location and see the current charge level and estimated driving range.
The app also offers the ability to select and program charging times when the vehicle is parked and plugged in, for example at home, to take advantage of a lower tariff.
In the UK and Europe, customers have access to more than one million public chargers, while in North America they have access to the Tesla Supercharger network, with built-in compatibility with the NACS standard. At home, a stylish new optional home charger for Range Rover ensures that every journey starts with a full battery.
TESTED INNOVATION
The Range Rover Electric has undergone extensive virtual and physical testing and development around the world to ensure the familiar Range Rover experience. Tested in temperatures of -40 °C in Arjeplog, Sweden, in the desert heat of Dubai and at JLR’s own facility at Eastnor Castle in the United Kingdom, the Range Rover Electric has covered more than 1.5 million kilometers and more than 250,000 hours of testing in the virtual and real world.
New technologies maximize its electric potential, including innovative range prediction functions and the advanced ThermAssistTM thermal management system that optimizes driving range, charging speed, battery life and performance in extreme temperatures, adding up to 40 kilometers of range and reducing heating energy use by 40%. More than 300 patent applications have been filed for the Range Rover Electric, the most for any vehicle in the brand’s history.
In order to ultimately increase battery safety and quality, JLR’s new battery testing laboratory subjects live batteries to extreme multi-axis vibration and shock tests at temperatures from -40 °C to 90 °C. Combined with a high-strength aluminum body, this means the Range Rover Electric is engineered to withstand heavy impacts and jolts, while advanced safety features exceed industry standards.
For ease of service and maintenance, every Range Rover Electric comes with a Digital Twin battery system that provides over 900 diagnostic data, and together with JLR’s leading Wireless Software Update System6 enables Range Rover to proactively maintain customers’ vehicles. The Range Rover Electric’s advanced powertrain comes with a warranty of eight years or 160,000 km7.
MADE IN SOLIHULL
To support production of the Range Rover Electric, JLR has transformed its Solihull manufacturing facility, bringing together advanced manufacturing processes, digital technology and major investment in electrification skills. As part of this transformation, 9,000 manufacturing employees in Solihull have so far been further trained to work in electrification, while a further 1,500 colleagues have received training at JLR sites in the wider West Midlands.

Range Rover creates significant value across the UK and Europe. The Range Rover production facility in Solihull supports the operations of thousands of companies, with over two-thirds of total supplier spend coming from UK and European suppliers.”
JLR’s wider manufacturing network, including its Electric Powertrain Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton8, will support the production of the Range Rover Electric. In addition to combustion engines, the site now produces battery packs and electric powertrains, making it the largest combustion engine and electric powertrain manufacturing facility in the UK.
The first phase of the redevelopment covers 40,000m2 and involved more than two million hours of planning, design, construction and commissioning over four years. This transformation added 13 production lines for batteries and electric drive units, serving nine kilometers of conveyor belts and 182 kilometers of power and data cables, which is more than the length of the River Thames.
Advanced scanning cameras supported by artificial intelligence are part of the quality control process during the production of the electric power units, ensuring that key components fit perfectly and meet the Range Rover Electric’s exacting standards of refinement. In addition, the performance of each battery cell is tested before being inserted into the battery pack, which is tested for circuit integrity and performance again before installation in the Range Rover Electric in Solihull.

Authorized Range Rover dealers are similarly further trained for this new era and are ready to guide customers through the next steps of their Range Rover Electric journey. In selected countries, orders are now open for Range Rover Electric with short or long wheelbase9 body styles for SE, HSE and Autobiography specifications, as well as SV, SV Ultra and SV Black3. Also available is a select First Edition in Belgravia Green, Santorini Black or Varesine Blue with the newly introduced Light Cloud UltrafabricsTM PU and KvadratTM interior.
