Thomas Sichla – the new president of the German-Croatian Industrial and Trade Chamber

Treasurer and Board Member, Dr. Thomas Sichla was elected as the new president of the German-Croatian Industrial and Trade Chamber.


The former treasurer and long-time member of the board of directors, Dr. Thomas Sichla, is the new president of the German-Croatian Industrial and Trade Chamber. Sichlu, who is also the director of the Zagreb Waste Water Company (ZOV), has been elected by the Chamber Administration.
“I am glad that in my new function of the President, we will provide our Chamber of Commerce with the support in strengthening its reputation in the public, promoting the interests of our member companies and further strengthening of German-Croatian economic relations”, Sichla said on the occasion of his appointment.
Thomas Sichla studied chemistry and economics in Dortmund. In 1996 he received a doctorate in chemistry. Since 2007, he has been director of Zagreb Wastewater, responsible for the design, financing, construction and operation of Central Wastewater Treatment Plant of Zagreb and its infrastructure. Dr. Sichla is also Vice President of the German-Slovenian Industrial and Chamber of Commerce in Ljubljana.
