Montenegro hosted the World Congress of Entrepreneurs, an event that brought together prominent business leaders, experts and entrepreneurs from the entire region. From October 16th to 19th, the congress was a platform for discussing key topics related to entrepreneurship and its role in the development of society, with a special emphasis on networking, regional cooperation and innovations in business.
The congress was formally opened with a round table entitled “Entrepreneurship in the 21st century – the role of entrepreneurship in the development of society”, at which speakers such as Mr. Ćur, director of M.E.F. Perspective, emphasized the importance of promoting entrepreneurial culture and meritocracy. Professor emeritus Velimir Srića emphasized the goals of the Congress, among which are the affirmation of entrepreneurs, the encouragement of self-confidence through awards, and the expansion of regional cooperation.
Special attention was drawn by the speech of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, who expressed his pride that Montenegro is hosting such an important international event, and the meeting between President Milatović and Aldo Di Biagio, President of the Italian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce, further strengthened the ties between Montenegro, Croatia and Italy in order to strengthen investments and entrepreneurship.
Over the course of several days, the Congress provided a rich program including lectures, panels and awards. The second day of the Congress was opened by Aldo Di Biagio with an introductory speech. Also, the prestigious Creators for the Ages awards were presented for outstanding contribution to the development of entrepreneurship.
The third day of the Congress brought the work of the presidency and the awarding of awards for outstanding business results. Regional ESG Leader, Globallocal for contribution to the development of entrepreneurship, and Excellence for the Future for quality and sustainability in business were awarded.
The last day was dedicated to women in entrepreneurship and their role in the development of the economy. The forum entitled “The role of women leaders, entrepreneurs and managers in the development of the economy” highlighted the importance of female leadership in modern business. The congress ended with optimistic announcements of future cooperation and new initiatives to strengthen the entrepreneurial climate in Southeast Europe.
