Dinko Lucić, President of the Management Board of PBZ, named a winner of the prestigious CEO Today Europe Awards 2020

Dinko Lucić, President of the Management Board of Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ), member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has won for the second year in a row the prestigious CEO Today Magazine Europe Awards 2020 in Croatia for his outstanding contribution to the representation of Privredna banka Zagreb. Every year the CEO Today Europe Awards recognise strong and innovative leadership amongst business leaders operating in Europe.

Dinko Lucić has been the President of the Management Board of Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ) since February 2018. Mr. Lucić joined the PBZ Group in early 2000. In addition to his numerous positions within PBZ, a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, from 2007 to 2009 he was a member of the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo’s VUB Bank in Slovakia. Prior to his appointment as President, he had been a longstanding member (since 2009) of PBZ ‘s Management Board in charge of retail banking and coordination of the PBZ Group companies in the retail segment and card business. Dinko Lucić was born in 1971, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. He also completed the ZSEM and University of Michigan Business School’s General Management Program, he holds several SAS CRM certificates and attained the International Retail Banker Certificate issued by The International Academy of Retail Banking, London.

 Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. (PBZ) has been a significant factor in the development of Croatian economy ever since its establishment in 1966. It has retained such a role until today as a member of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, one of the largest banking groups in Europe. PBZ is a universal bank, it is technologically highly developed, and offers a complete range of specialised products and services. It should be emphasized that PBZ is the clear winner of the Comprehensive assessment of five Croatian banks recently conducted by the European Central Bank. According to published data, PBZ has got the greatest amount of the capital in the adverse scenario (CET1 Ratio of 16.4 %) that substantially exceeds regulatory requirements, while Asset Quality Review (AQR) identified immaterial adjustments with an impact on the capital ratio of one basis point (1bp). These results confirm strong financial stability and reliability of PBZ in the domestic banking market, but also adequacy of its internal rules and procedures pertaining to risk management. Also, PBZ has a proactive role in encouraging CSR initiatives and projects, with constant dedication to supporting the local community. PBZ is the leading donor in the country and unrivalled among banks regarding donations to healthcare institutions in combating the Covid-19 pandemic as well as repairing the consequences of the devastating earthquake that hit Zagreb and its surroundings.
